Citrus – latifolia, the Persian lemon, also known as Tahitian lime, Persian lime, Messina lemon, Seedless lemon, or Bearss lime. The fruit is about 6 cm in diameter, often with slightly pointed ends, it is normally sold green, although when it reaches full maturity it is yellow.
It is older, with a thicker skin and less aromatic than the sour lime, which is the most widely cultivated lime in the world. The advantages of this lime with respect to the acidic one is that it is larger, has no seeds, greater resistance to diseases, absence of thorns on the trees, and longer duration of the fruit once harvested.
